Yes, we know they had no option but to go into this "alliance" and it is easy to criticise from a place of safety - although we all know that they could have stayed clear of this by simply saying no.
Farms are still being stolen by force and vital agriucltural production thus being stolen from the economy (especially as agriculture underpinned so many secondary and tertiary industries as well). This plus the fact that businesses overwhelmingly owned by the state or Mugabe's parasites means that industry can never progress. No civilised democratic nation can ever countenance supporting this farce.
It is time the MDC (T and M) wake up to this and the fact that they are fast losing credibility in their cosying up to Mugabe. With Tendai Biti saying nice things about Mugabe (as reported in the Guardian) one wonders whether one has wasted nine years of life in supporting the opposition. www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jun/01/mugabe-tsvangirai-zimbabwe
I personally don't care whether Mugabe has the appearance of a Victorian English gentleman or not - what matters is his crimes against humanity. Hitler was a lover of the arts and classical music - but that did not make him a nice guy.
